Stefania Argenzio is a handmaker of eco friendly jewels based in Milan.
The jewelry collection utilizes salvaged different elements in combination with fabric, wool, plastic, and silver plated and strass beads. The series is a result of Stefania’s desire to re-purpose mass produced materials into handmade, wearable art.
She started with her mother Ivana in 2010. The first collection was named Me+You for its literal meaning of two people working together on something.
They started Me+You in the beginning purely out of a need to make something together to overcome a difficult moment.
Ivana died on December of 2019 and inevitably the work and the way each piece is made has changed.
Now Stefania realizes her creations with the help of her daughter Laura, knitting and weaving different colors of wool or fabric and then embellishing them by hand afterwards in that moment without a pre-defined pattern. They love the unpredictability of it and the individuality each imperfection brought to the piece.
Stefania and Laura remember this concept to embrace the imperfections and unexpected curves of the life too. Seeing the imperfections as beautiful in each of their creation help them to see this same beauty in life.
LaSt. is the new collection of handmade jewels. Each piece is unique and made with love and attention in order to reflect the personality and aesthetics of their purchaser. LaSt. is always looking for a perfect balance between beauty and utility.
